Roots & Wildflowers – Terms & Conditions for Custom Artwork & Digital Files

1. Ownership of Artwork

You receive a personal-use license for any artwork you purchase. Roots & Wildflowers retains full copyright and ownership of all artwork and digital files unless stated otherwise in writing.

2. Personal Use License

You may use your artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes, including:

• Displaying the artwork in your home
• Printing copies for personal use
• Sharing the artwork on social media with (tagging @rootsandwildflowers is appreciated)
• Gifting the artwork to family or friends

You may not use the artwork in any way that generates income or promotes a business.

3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are not permitted without a separate written commercial license:

• Selling printed products featuring the artwork
• Using the artwork in logos, branding, packaging, or marketing
• Uploading the artwork to print-on-demand or manufactured goods platforms
• Using the artwork for commercial advertising or promotional materials
• Reselling, redistributing, or giving away the digital file

4. Modifications

You may not alter, edit, distort, recolour, remove the signature, or otherwise modify the artwork or digital files.

5. Copyright Notice

All artwork and digital files are protected under Canadian and international copyright laws. You acknowledge that Roots & Wildflowers owns all copyrights and moral rights to the artwork.

We reserve the right to display the artwork in our portfolio, website, or promotional materials unless you request otherwise before purchasing.

6. Digital File Delivery & Printing

Digital files are delivered electronically and are non-refundable once sent. We are not responsible for third-party printing errors, but we are happy to recommend professional print labs.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

• Custom artwork: non-refundable once work has begun.
• Digital files: non-refundable after delivery.
• Physical prints: refunds offered only for printing defects or damage during shipping. (Photographic proof will be required, email to info@rootsandwildflowers.ca)

If an error occurs on our end, we will gladly correct it.

8. Privacy

Any photos provided for artwork creation are used primarily to complete your custom artwork. By submitting reference photos, you also grant Roots & Wildflowers permission to use those photos in marketing materials—such as “before and after” examples—unless you request otherwise before purchasing. Your photos will never be sold, licensed, or shared with third parties.

9. Agreement

By purchasing from Roots & Wildflowers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
